Oh My Dumplings!

Officially gaining 10lbs since my last post, i have failed to update you on my new gastronomy adventure... my love of food has expanded, and i will be heading off to culinary school in the future. My love of food will have me updating everything i possibly can starting with...

Best Dumplings

Englewood, NJ
Cusinie: Korean, mandoo

Previously called Mandoo Inc, this little secret dumpling spot has risen in the popularity ranks. It used to be an industrial warehouse for dumplings that gave the occasional visitor a taste or 2. Now they have enhanced their industrial looks to a take-out spot with full take-out menu consisting of more than just dumplings. Man oh Man, is this place ever sooo good. I love coming here to stock up on frozen dumplings to make at home. They have a variety of dumplings, from fried to steamed to sweet or spicy, and and even vegan. My mouth is watering just thinking about these dumplings. You can catch me here during lunch time stocking up on some mid-day take out.

Anticipation awaits... its my bday at the Hudson Terrace!

One of the things I like to do is give the utmost praise to a place by hosting my birthday party there....
this year is going to be done a little differently.. Naturally, i would already know WAYy in advance that a place is 'bday-worthy', BUTT this year i am going somewhere i have never been to before... and probably no1 else has either...
The Way Famous Hudson Terrace event space is opening up to the public on May 5th... [not the hudson sky terrace, blah]..

http://nymag.com/daily/food/2009/05/hudson_terrace_launches_happy.html?mid=daily-food--yahoo-buzz --> read more about it here.

Ironically,
It has been compared to 230-fifth, which is where my bday bash presented itself last year. (I have a thing for roof-tops).

I'll let you know my critiques.. but for now, all i can do is wait and be hopeful...

Cedar Village in Edgewater, NJ

OMFG! This place is soooo good!!

It is middle-eastern cuisine at its finest! Lebanese inspired, delicous mom & pop restaurant in close proximity to both the lincoln tunnel and the GW Bridge. If you ever find yourself in NJ, this place is a must!!

I ordered: Fatoush salad, and Shish Tawook, Hummus w/ meat (chicken Shawarma)

The service: Husband and wife doing there thing.. They make you feel like you're visiting a long lost relative who lives in Beirut.

The Place: It's a little tiny hole in the wall. Sits about 10 at a time, mainly a to-go spot, but its def worth it.

From a scale from 1-10
I give this place a secure 7 Snaps**
